Valuation

Method helps valuers align their valuation requirements to their lending policies, ensuring that services are procured from the most appropriate and best qualified providers.

By continuously monitoring surveying practices' performance and parameters we reduce the risk that poorly performing or non-compliant practices are chosen to undertake valuations.

With a panel, of over 150 surveying practices, ranging from large national surveying companies to smaller regional and local firms, there is always a surveyor with an appropriate knowledge, expertise and experience at hand.

Development monitoring and appraisal

We understand the significant risks posed by development funding.

Having a bespoke IMS panel ensures that all Independent Monitoring Surveyor work is carried out by suitably qualified and experienced IMS professionals.

Our efficient workflow systems ensure that reports can be instructed, tracked and received in line with lenders requirements.

How it works

Surveyors set parameters

Covering the type of work a surveyor wants to receive including property types, market sectors and locations that the practice covers.

Clients set their criteria

Establishing their requirements such as the level of PII, number of practice directors and distance from the property.

Match
making

Once an instruction request is added Method’s intelligent algorithms select the most appropriate surveyors based on the parameters and criteria.

Quotation

Only the most suitable surveyors are then asked to provide a fee quote, confirm their availability and ability to meet a client’s SLAs.

Instruction

The client will then decide which surveying practice to proceed with and instruct.

Requirements

Method clients are generally looking for:
  • RICS Regulated Surveying Practices that offer valuation and / or Independent Monitoring Surveyor Services
  • Surveyors experienced in local, regional or national markets
  • Coverage required for all sectors and specialisms e.g. agricultural, commercial, residential, development, specialist and trade related properties
Method clients are generally looking for:
  • Two Directors or Partners
  • Valuations - Two MRICS or FRICS Registered Surveyors
  • Independent Monitoring Surveyors - Two MRICS or FRICS Chartered Building Surveyors or Quantity Surveyors
  • £1m Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Post Qualification Experience requirements vary significantly by client, but generally a minimum of two years PQE is required for MRICS Chartered Surveyors
  • Some clients will not allow AssocRICS qualified surveyors to act for them
